Article 1: Scope of Application

These general terms and conditions apply to all products and services provided via the websites of Authentic Work (trading as Pause for Thought Consulting LTD) ("the Company"). "Client" refers to any individual or entity placing an order via our online platforms.

Article 1a: Age Restriction

Our services and materials are intended for individuals aged 18 and over. By purchasing or accessing our content, including courses, coaching, or downloadable resources, you confirm you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly engage with individuals under this age. If it comes to our attention that this condition is not met, we reserve the right to cancel access and issue a refund where applicable.

Article 2: Orders

Placing an order via our website constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Article 3: Price

All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include UK taxes where applicable. Prices may change at any time; however, the price charged will be that displayed at the time of the order.

Article 4: Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of order, including for pre-orders. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not accept American Express. We do not store card information. Stripe is responsible for encryption and data security related to payments.

Article 5: Delivery

Products and services are delivered digitally unless otherwise stated. Downloadable products are accessible immediately upon purchase. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure correct email and access information is provided at checkout.

Article 6: Protection of Personal Data

We process your personal data in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR. By using our services, you consent to us collecting and using your data to provide our services, manage your account, and send relevant updates. You may unsubscribe from emails at any time. As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality content and services, we may use trusted AI-based tools to support the creation, editing, and delivery of materials. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Proofreading and editing content (e.g. downloadable resources, emails, course content)

  • Recording and transcribing 1:1 coaching sessions (with your consent)

All tools are selected with data privacy and security in mind and are used solely to enhance client experience and service delivery. Where session recordings or transcripts are created, they are for your use and reflection, and will not be shared or published without your explicit consent.

If you prefer not to have sessions transcribed or content processed using AI, please notify us in advance. We are committed to handling all client information with the highest standards of confidentiality and in accordance with data protection laws.

Article 7: Cancellation and Refund Policy

Downloadable Resources (e.g. Journals, PDFs)

All sales of downloadable resources are final and non-refundable. By purchasing, you waive your 14-day statutory cancellation right as the content is delivered instantly.

Self-Paced Courses

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for self-paced online courses. If you are unsatisfied for any reason, email info@authenticwork.co.uk within 30 days of purchase. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days.

1:1 Coaching Services (Including Packages)

Coaching services may be cancelled within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided no sessions have taken place. Once coaching has begun, the package becomes non-refundable.

By scheduling your first session within the 14-day period, you agree to waive your cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. In exceptional cases, a pro-rata refund may be offered at our discretion. Coaching packages are non-transferable and must be used within the agreed timeframe.

Article 8: Coaching Disclaimer

Coaching services support personal and professional development and are not a substitute for therapy, counselling, or mental health treatment. Although some of our coaches are qualified healthcare professionals, all services offered are provided strictly in a non-clinical coaching capacity. Coaching does not involve diagnosis, assessment, or treatment of any mental health condition.

By engaging in coaching, you acknowledge responsibility for your own wellbeing, actions, and decisions. If you are experiencing mental health concerns, emotional distress, or are in crisis, we strongly encourage you to contact your GP, a qualified mental health professional, or emergency services as appropriate.

Article 9: Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

Article 10: Intellectual Property

All materials provided by Authentic Work, including but not limited to journals, workbooks, videos, and course content, are the intellectual property of Pause for Thought Consulting LTD and may not be copied, distributed, or reproduced without explicit written permission. These materials are for personal use only and may not be used for commercial purposes.

Article 11: Results

While we aim to support your growth and development, we make no guarantees regarding specific results or outcomes from coaching, course participation, or the use of any materials. Your progress depends on your own engagement, context, and efforts.

Article 12: Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pause for Thought Consulting LTD shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or products. Our liability is limited to the amount paid by the client for the relevant service.

Article 13: Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 3–5 working days and to resolve them within 14 working days where possible.
